Who Knew God Spoke Through Musicals?

Last night I went to see my best friend, Amanda, in her last theater production with the CFT company.

Every year in CFT they have one big play production at the end of April. Amanda's first year in CFT she played "Eve" in "Children of Eden".

Last night she played "Helen" (a childhood friend of Jane's) and "Bertha Mason" in "Jane Eyre". Bertha is the crazy lunatic wife of the main Lord in the story, who is locked away for her random
, crazy, dangerous impulses.

Anywhoo. I honestly went to this play, knowing the story and not expecting much..and boy was I in for a surprise. All the seniors who had key roles went above and beyond. Especially Amanda. She played two different characters, both of whom died, sang her heart out, and felling straight back off of a about 10 foot step prop  for the death scene of Bertha.
Last night was bitter sweet. But I wouldn't have changed anything about it. The play was a perfect send off for all the seniors, it really challenged and stretched their acting skills.

I even had several epiphany's during the play. No joke, several times God pointed things out to me to take note of or how it paralleled to my life or friendship with Amanda. She sang a song called "Forgiveness" and it resonated with my core; forgiveness has been a huge part of my growth and personal virtues in the last few years.

I'm so incredibly happy I went to see "Jane Eyre" last night.
